Estate Management Unit (EMU) is a Unit under the Office of Deputy Vice Chancellor – Planning, Finance and Administration (DVC – PFA) established to support the core University functions by providing and ensuring that teaching, research, consultancy and outreach services are rendered within a safe environment at the University.

The major activities performed by the Unit are as follows:

• Dealing with conditioning, maintenance, rehabilitation and construction of the University infrastructure and compounds/environments.

• Dealing with provision and supervision of utilities and security matters required to support and facilitate university operations.

• Coordinates preparation of physical master plans, landscaping and general University Estate administrations.

• Maintenance of the University motor vehicles, plants and machinery.

• Supervision and monitoring of outsourced estate works including construction works and other contracted services under Estate.

• Coordinates consultancy services in Estate Management.

• Coordinates and supervises preparations of designs, sketches of buildings and other structures.

• Supervise feasibility studies and evaluation of the viability of proposed projects on University lands.
