HONORABLE MIZENGO PINDA URGES TIMELY AND QUALITY COMPLETION OF MJNUAT INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS

The Chancellor of Mwalimu Julius K. Nyerere University of Agriculture and Technology (MJNUAT) and former Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Honorable Mizengo Peter Pinda, has directed the University Management to closely oversee the implementation of building and infrastructure projects to ensure they are completed on time and meet the required standards.
Honorable Pinda issued the directive today during his visit to the University to inspect the progress of construction works for classrooms, dormitories, a library, an administration building, and other infrastructure being developed at the Main Campus in Butiama under the Higher Education for Economic Transformation Project in Tanzania.
"Many people across the country are eager to see the construction of the University's buildings and infrastructure completed on time and with the expected quality," emphasized Honorable Pinda.
Earlier, while delivering regional greetings, the representative of the Mara Regional Commissioner, Honorable Aswege Enock Kaminyoge, who also serves as the District Commissioner for Bunda, expressed gratitude to the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania under the leadership of Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for providing funding and ensuring that the projects being implemented bring significant benefits to the University.
"The Government has provided a total of 2,661,998,500 Tanzanian Shillings for the renovation of the Oswald Mang’ombe Campus and has allocated 102.5 billion Shillings for the construction of the Butiama Main Campus and the Tabora Campus," explained Honorable Kaminyoge.
On his part, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Lesakit Mellau, explained that the University has already begun offering training programs, with the number of students expected to grow significantly, reaching up to 6,000 across the Butiama and Tabora campuses upon completion of the ongoing construction projects.
