Staff at Mwalimu Julius K. Nyerere University of Agriculture and Technology (MJNUAT) have been encouraged to continue integrating technology into teaching, assessment, and student engagement.

This call was made today, May 19, 2025, by the Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic, Research and Consultancy, Dr. Edward Mbwambo, during the official launch of a Learning Management System (LMS) training program held at the Oswald Mango’mbe Campus in Butiama.

“Technology is an integral part of our university’s daily operations. It is essential that we remain committed to using it practically. I believe this training will enhance our ability to carry out our academic responsibilities effectively, even when working remotely,” said Dr. Mbwambo.

On his part, the Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor for Planning, Finance and Administration, Dr. Abubakari Mgelwa, urged participants to actively engage in the training and take full advantage of the knowledge being shared to enhance their online teaching skills.

“These sessions are crucial. The goal is to align ourselves with the global shift towards modern, technology-driven teaching methodologies,” emphasized Dr. Mgelwa.

The three-day training is organized by MJNUAT and facilitated by experts from the University of Dar es Salaam.
