MJNUAT profile

The University shall serve as STI hub that is linked to the industry and other stakeholder actors in addressing societal and national development challenges. It shall also generate business minded graduates and other empowered actors.  Each Campus shall have a specific academic mandate but shall also serve as an outreach post for other disciplines hosted elsewhere.

We therefore work in the broad field of science and technology but notably agriculture with the view to generate graduate farmers, technicians and agro-processors in support of the national desire to create a business farming community and knowledge-based SMEs as well as attaining the middle income country status. This institutional aspiration also complements industrial development strategy of Tanzania.
