Mwalimu Julius K Nyerere University of Agriculture and Technology [MJNUAT] has been established within the framework of the Universities Act, 2005, which stipulates that operations of respective university be guided by the University Charter granted by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania.   The university has thus developed a draft Charter, which is in the process of being approved by relevant authorities.  Please read this draft Charter to get a glimpse of how MJNUAT aspires to operate within the frameworks of its vision, missions, core values, objects  and corporate responsibilities.

Mwalimu Julius K. Nyerere University of Agriculture and Technology (MJNUAT) is one among the 14 institutions that are the beneficiaries of the Higher Education for Economic Transformation Project (HEET) that is funded by the World Bank (WB). The aims of the HEET Project are to strengthen the learning environment, ensure greater alignment of priority degree programmes to labour market needs and improve the management of the higher education system.
